O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2025 and consequently directing the fourth respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the property in Survey No.384, measuring an extent of 1 Acre, situated at Nallur Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai District.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Page No. 2 of 6

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father and grandfather had been enjoying the subject property by cultivating the same. The petitioner has been cultivating paddy crops in the said property for the past 40 years. Though the petitioner has approached the respondents for issuance of patta in his name on several occasions, no action has been taken by them. While the respondents have issued patta in respect of the adjacent land, the petitioner's request has not been considered. Finally, the petitioner sent a representation dated 27.11.2025, which also did not evoke any response. Hence, the petitioner was constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a period of eight weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law Page No. 3 of 6

and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The fourth respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by the decision. There shall be no order as to costs.
