ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue passport to the petitioner by considering his application, dated 20.06.2025. 2.The learned Government Advocate for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner is involved in two criminal cases in Crime Nos.410 of 2018 and 411 of 2018 on the file of the second respondent, which has culminated in the filing of charge sheets before the Juvenile Justice Board, Madurai, on 06.01.2019. In view of the mode of objections raised by the Juvenile Justice Board so far the charge has not taken on file and the second respondent has not taken any steps whatsoever to clear the said objections for the past six years.

3.Considering the above said facts, mere pendency of FIR will not be a legal impediment for issuance of passport. The first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's passport application and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

4.With the said observations and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
