PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certioarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order in No.4669/tha ku.2/2025 dt. 13.12.2025 issued by the Respondent No.1 and quash the same as bad in law and further direct the respondents no. 1 and 2 to extend the emergency leave to the period of five

days to the petitioner's father namely Kanagarajan, S/o. Baskaran who is convict prisoner in a cheating case in CP No.9195 and languishing in Central Prison, Madurai for the past 1 1⁄2 years by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2025.

O R D E R

The prayer in the Writ Petition is to quash the impugned order passed by the first respondent in No.4669/tha ku.2/2025 dated 13.12.2025 and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to extend the emergency leave for a period of five days to the petitioner's father namely Kanagarajan, S/o. Baskaran who is convict prisoner in a cheating case in CP No.9195 and languishing in Central Prison, Madurai for the past 1 1⁄2 years by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. Though the petitioner challenged the order passed by the first respondent dated 13.12.2025 thereby requesting for extension of emergency

leave for five days subsequently the petitioner submitted another representation dated 10.12.2025 and it is still pending on the file of the first respondent.

4. Now, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner restricted his prayer directing the first respondent to consider the representation dated 10.12.2025.

5. In view of the same, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 10.12.2025 seeking extension of emergency leave for a period of five days and pass orders on own merits and in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition (Crl.) stands disposed of. No costs.
