PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing Respondent No.1 herein to pass order to grant 28 days of ordinary leave to petitioner's father Murugesan S/o.Mariyappan, aged 67 years, LCT No.4593, by considering petitioner representation dated 08.12.2025 of Rule 20 Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 as petitioner's father underwent right-leg amputation surgery due to diabetes and varicose veins and major ulcer on 10.10.2025 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

The prayer in the Writ Petition is to direct the first respondent to grant 28 days of ordinary leave to petitioner's father Murugesan S/o.Mariyappan, aged 67 years, LCT No.4593, by considering petitioner representation dated 08.12.2025 of Rule 20 Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 as petitioner's father underwent right-leg amputation surgery due to diabetes and varicose veins and major ulcer on 10.10.2025 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to dispose the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking emergency leave for a period of 28 days, dated 08.12.2025 and pass orders on own merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks
from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, the writ petition (Crl.) stands disposed of. No costs.
