ORDER

This petition is filed seeking to quash the impugned Charge Sheet in S.C.No.99 of 2023 on the file of the Fast Track Mahila Court, Theni, which was filed for the offences under Sections 323, 498 (A), 313, 109 of IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

2. The gist of the allegations in the final report is that the first petitioner married the defacto complainant on 07.02.2022. The petitioners 2 and 3 are mother in law and sister in law of the defacto complainant respectively. There was an illegal relationship between the first petitioner and the fourth petitioner. At the instigation of the fourth petitioner, the petitioners inflicted cruelty upon the defacto complainant demanding dowry and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the parties have since arrived at a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 16.12.2025.

4. The petitioners and the second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.K.Dharmar, SSI, Periyakulam Police Station, Theni District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of allegation and the relationship between the parties, this Court in view of the fact that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned Charge Sheet in S.C.No.99 of 2023 on the file of the Fast Track Mahila Court, Theni, is hereby quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memos dated 16.12.2025 shall form part and parcel of the order. 19.12.2025 Index: Yes/ No Speaking Order/Non-Speaking Order Sn 3/5
