Prayer:

This petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to provide police protection in conducting survey and demarcate the petitioner's landed property comprised in Survey Nos.647b/12, 647b/13, 647B/4F2A situated at Thalaiyuthu Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District at Thalaiyuthu Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 19.11.2025 and for other reliefs as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third and fourth respondents to provide police protection for conducting a survey and demarcation of the petitioner's landed property comprised in Survey Nos.647B/12, 647B/13 and 647B/4F2A, situated at Thalaiyuthu Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.11.2025, and for other appropriate reliefs.

2. Though the petitioner, in his representation, has sought police protection for fencing the property, such relief cannot be granted. However, police protection can be extended for the purpose of surveying and demarcating the land. Accordingly, the prayer is restricted to that extent. The second respondent/Tahsildar is directed to conduct the survey and demarcate the land, and the fourth respondent shall provide adequate police protection for the said purpose. It is made clear, by surveying and

demarcating the property will not determine the right of the rival parties.
