O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to effect a survey of the land and fix the four boundaries in Survey Nos.187 and 199, situated at Thuvarangurchi North Village, Adhirampattinam Sub-Registry, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District, with the aid of the third respondent police, based on the proceedings of the first respondent in Survey Application No.352/2025/A8 dated 27.10.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Page No. 2 of 6

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that an application has been made for the demarcation of the boundaries of the property in question.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first and second respondents would submit that on receipt of the petitioner's application, the first respondent has already initiated the proceedings and has requested police protection from the third respondent and that after consideration of the claims of the parties, appropriate steps would be taken to demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the third respondent would submit that once the petitioner pays the requisite fee for police protection, appropriate protection would be provided for the survey and demarcation of the property, as per the communication of the third respondent dated 28.10.2025.

6. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application, demarcate the Page No. 3 of 6

petitioner's land after considering the claims of all parties and pass appropriate orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If required, police assistance shall be provided subject to payment of the requisite charges by the petitioner, as per the proceedings of the first respondent dated 27.10.2025 and the proceedings of the third respondent dated 28.10.2025. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
