Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent the Inspector of Panchayats, Kanyakumari District to take immediate and appropriate action against the Respondents 3, 4 and 7 and to conduct a proper Audit and detailed enquiry into the serious financial irregularities, mismanagement, and manipulation of records committed by the Respondents 3, 4 and 7, for the Internal Committee Audit Reports pertaining to the period between 06.01.2020 and 05.01.2025 in Kanyakumari District under provisions of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 as well as the Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Preparation, Issue and Disposal of Audit Reports of Panchayat Union Councils and District Panchayats) Rules, 2000 and also further directing the said authority to initiate appropriate criminal action and department proceedings against the erring officials ie., respondents 3, 4 and 7, who is responsible persons under the aforesaid act and rules.

ORDER

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he would like to withdraw the present Writ Petition and to file an appropriate Public Interest Litigation before the competent forum.

2. Recording the same, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
