O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.] The prayer in the petition is to direct the fourth respondent to grant emergency leave to the petitioner's son Vasanthakumar, S/o.Moorthy, PID No. 241844, convict prisoner, confined at Central Prison, Trichy.

2. Pending writ petition, the respondents has granted six days emergency leave with escort to the petitioner's son Vasanthakumar, S/o.Moorthy, PID No.241844, convict prisoner, confined at Central Prison, Trichy vide order dated 07.01.2026.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the condition imposed in the order dated 07.01.2026 directing the convict to go on emergency leave with escort is modified and the convict shall go on emergency leave without escort. However, the convict is directed to comply with the usual conditions imposed by the jail authorities and he should also report before

the fifth respondent daily at 05.30 p.m. till the completion of leave period. He shall duly comply with the conditions and return to the prison on expiry of the leave period.

4. Accordingly, the order of the third respondent dated 07.01.2026 is quashed in sofar as the ordering escort alone and the Writ Petition is disposed of.
