ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent police to give necessary police protection to the life and limb of petitioner and his family members on the basis of the representation dated 02.12.2025.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that one Prabhakaran, is continuously subjecting the petitioner and his family to threat and hence, he sought the indulgence of this Court seeking police protection.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the said Prabhakaran had been continuously stalking the petitioner's daughter in the name of love. However, as the petitioner's daughter did not respond favorably to his advances, he allegedly consumed poison and committed suicide. It was further submitted that his parents have allegedly been threatening the petitioner and his family with life threats, in respect of which a complaint has already been received and is being investigated by the police.

4. In view of the aforesaid submission and considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the second respondent is directed to afford police 2/4

protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family, by directing the beat police to cover the residence of the petitioner atleast twice a day. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands disposed of. 19.12.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Sm TO:-
