ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent police to take action on the petitioner's complaints dt. 15.10.2025 and 17.12.2025 as expeditiously within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that despite having lodged a complaint as early as in the month of October, 2025, the 2nd respondent police has not bothered to look into it.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that a complaint has been received via e-mail only.

4. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given the complaints in person.

5. Whether a complaint is filed in person or through e-mail, it is the bounden duty of the respondent police to intiate criminal action upon receipt of 2/4

the complaint. In view of the same, the second respondent police is directed to issue a Community Service Register (CSR) number at the first instance and thereafter proceed with the complaints in accordance with law, forthwith.
