ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(2), and 351(3) of BNS in Crime No.168 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that a sudden wordy quarrel arose between the petitioner and his neighbor / the defacto complainant regarding a boundary dispute. Subsequently the defacto complainant and his family members were abused by the petitioner in filthy language, attacked and threatened with dire consequences. Hence, a case has been registered. 3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner did not appear before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the crime number is wrongly mentioned as 168 of 2025 instead of 167 of 2025 in the petition.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) strongly opposed 2/4

to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner stating that the injured is still in the hospital.

6. This Court is inclined to dismiss this petition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition indicating the correct crime number.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 19.12.2025 TMG TO 1.The Inspector of Police, Aravayal Police Station, Sivagangai District.
