O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to effect patta transfer based on the petitioner's Application No.2025/0123/13/015615 dated 18.09.2025 in respect of Patta No.7376 (Field No.55) and New Survey No.6B1A2, situated in Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District, within the time to be fixed by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property was purchased by the petitioner from one Lakshumanan, who was the lawful owner thereof, on 18.07.2024. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application dated 18.09.2025 seeking transfer of patta in his name. On receipt of the same, the second respondent issued notice to the adjacent landowners, conducted a survey and issued the Field Measurement Book (FMB) sketch through the online portal. However, the patta has not been transferred in the petitioner's name. Therefore, the petitioner was constrained to file the present Writ Petition. Page No. 2 of 5

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's application dated 18.09.2025 would be considered and disposed of within a period of twelve weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 18.09.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The application shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by the decision.
