ORDER

The petitioner was appointed as Telephone Attender in the third respondent Government Medical College Hospital, on compassionate ground, on 27.03.2007 and his services were also regularized. While so, the post of Telephone Attender has been taken away and the petitioner has not been provided with any other job. In this regard, he has also made a representation to the respondents. Since there was no action on the representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 2.The learned Additional Government Pleader by referring to the proceedings dated 20.02.2026 of the Director of Medical & Rural Health Services, submits that the petitioner is now relieved from Telephone Attendant, Government Medical College Hospital, Ramathapuram from the Directorate of Medical Education and Research side to Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services, 2/5

Chennai side for posting at Government Head Quarters Hospital, Kanchipuram.

3.In view of the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to disburse the arrears of salary to the petitioner in the intervening period, where he has not been provided with any work, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
