O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2025 and to initiate an enquiry to rectify the errors in the Town Survey Register and the TSLR Sketch in respect of the property comprised in Old S.F.No.1080/1 and S.No.1080/2 (T.S.Nos. 49/1A and 49/2A), situated at Chinnamanur Town, Uthamapalayam Taluk, Theni District, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that certain portions of the petitioner's land were acquired by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the purpose of National Highways. However, certain discrepancies have crept into the Town Survey Register (TSR) and the TSLR Sketch. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.08.2025 to the respondent Page No. 2 of 5

seeking rectification of the said mistakes. However, no enquiry has been initiated and no action has been taken for rectification. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the second respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to Page No. 3 of 5

pursue their remedies before the competent Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
