The present writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the order passed by the first respondent herein, wherein the request of the petitioner to cancel the legal heir certificate, dated 26.07.2023 has been rejected.
2. The petitioner herein is the sister's son of one deceased Muthuramalingam. A Legal Heir Certificate was issued in the name of the respondents 3 and 4 on the ground that they are the wife and daughter of the deceased person. However, according to the writ petitioner, the third respondent is not the legally wedded wife of Muthuramalingam. Hence, he has made a representation to the first respondent to cancel the Legal heir Certificate, which has been rejected under the impugned order, dated 21.11.2025.
3. The facts narrated above will clearly indicate that there is a serious dispute concerning the matrimonial status of the third respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has to approach the competent civil Court to establish the rights.

4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
