ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conduct an enquiry and effect the necessary transfer of name in the Town Survey Field Register Extract, and directing the second respondent to conduct an enquiry and effect the transfer of name in the patta, in respect of T.S.Nos.3173/1 and 4984 of Periakulam Town, Theni District, within a prescribed period.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner inherited the property by way of a Will executed in his favour by his maternal aunt. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that an online application was not made since applications based solely on a Will were not being accepted.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent submit that the petitioner's representations dated 10.11.2025 and 20.11.2025 respectively would be considered on their own merits and in accordance with law, subject to the petitioner paying the requisite fee.

Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 10.11.2025 and 20.11.2025, respectively, after payment of the requisite fee, and to conduct an enquiry into the matter by issuing notice to all the persons concerned, and thereafter to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state that, in the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the competent Civil Court.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
