ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to transfer the complaint copy in C.S.R.No.804/2025 dated 05.11.2025 to some other police officer of any other police station in Kanyakumari District.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a mini van driver. On 05.11.2025, while the petitioner and one Muthukumar were transporting passengers in vehicles bearing Registration Nos. TN 74 U 8808 and TN 74 AB 9936 to the Suchindram Temple, the accused persons, along with a few other identifiable individuals, waylaid the vehicles and threatened the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint, and a CSR receipt was issued. However, the second respondent has not completed the enquiry or initiated appropriate investigation till date. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instructions, submitted that in this case investigation would be completed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with and also the the second respondent is directed to appraise the progress of the investigation every Friday to the first respondent. The first respondent is directed to monitor the ongoing investigation, which is being conducted by the second respondent, from time to time. The second respondent is directed to conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
