JUDGMENT
[Judgment of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.] Writ Appeal filed challenging the order passed by the learned Single Judge dismissing the Writ Petition filed by the appellant to quash the show cause notice issued to her by the University for the alleged misconduct. 2.The appellant has contended that the necessary documents relied by the respondents to initiate disciplinary proceedings not furnished to her despite demand.
3.Learned Single Judge, after taking into consideration the submissions made by the appellant has dismissed the Writ Petition stating that the impugned memo dated 09.09.2025 is only in the nature of show cause notice and if proper explanation is given by the appellant, the authorities may even drop the proceedings. The learned Judge has also added that the petitioner should submit her response to the memo within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of the order copy and
thereafter, it is open to the respondent University to proceed in accordance with law as per the statute of the University. 4.In the appeal it is canvassed that despite request for furnishing the details of complaint and CCTV camera footage, same not furnished to the petitioner to defend her case. The nature of the memo issued to the appellant is misusing the residential quarters allotted to her and a complaint been sent to authorities including CM cell and therefore, University has thought fit to issue memo and conduct enquiry. There is also another memo touching upon the conduct of the appellant driving her four wheeler in rash and negligent manner within University campus, causing panic in the minds of the persons who are present.
The learned Single Judge has considered the submissions made by the appellant and has disposed of the writ petition with the observation stated above. This Court has nothing to add except to direct the petitioner herein to participate in the enquiry proceedings by giving her explanation and it is suffice to state that the respondent University, if decide to proceed against the appellant further shall furnish all the material documents necessary to substantiate the charges and then proceed.
5.With these observations, this Writ Appeal stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
