ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate action against the respondents 6 to 10 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025.
2.Despite service of notice on the respondents 6 to 10, none has entered appearance either in person or through counsel. 3.The grievance of the petitioner, who is aged about 80 years, is that several marriage halls, along with shops and a wholesale market, are situated in Sannathi Street, Vilathikulam, without adequate parking facilities. It is alleged that waste materials are being dumped in public places and that loud noise due to the use of sound systems during late night hours causes disturbance to the residents. It is further alleged that access to the street is obstructed, thereby hindering the movement of emergency vehicles, and that 3/6
electricity connections obtained for residential purposes are being misused for commercial activities. Though the petitioner submitted a representation dated 08.12.2025, no action has been taken. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4.The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that action has already been initiated by the authorities concerned and notices have been issued to the private respondents, and except one individual, the others have not submitted their explanations. 5.In view of the above, the official respondents are directed to conduct a proper inspection of the premises in question, in the presence of the private respondents, and take appropriate action in accordance with law, if any violations are found. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4/6
6.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
