(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Habeus Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 2 to produce the person or body of the petitioner's son namely Gopi, S/o.Veeramani, aged about 26 years old, before this Court and set him at liberty

2. The petitioner is the mother of the detenu. The detenu is aged about 27 years old. While being so from 03.11.2025, the detene was found missing from the home and his whereabouts is not known. Therefore the petitioner lodged complaint before the second respondent for which CSR No.460 of 2015 was issued on 07.11.2025. During enquiry the second respondent found that the detenu who is aged about 27 years eloped with a lady aged about 30 years and now they are located at Pondicherry.

3. Admittedly the detenu is aged about 27 years and he himself eloped with another woman, therefore he is not under illegal detention of anybody.

4. In view of the same, the petition stands dismissed. However the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order [G.K.I., J.] [R.P., J.] 07.01.2026 aav To
