The Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct the Silambam tournament on 28.12.2025 between 8.00 a.m to 6.00 p.m at Moovendar Panpattu Kazhagam Hall, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2025.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the representation of the petitioner is pending before the second respondent for consideration.
3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made 2/4
by the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
