For Petitioner : Mrs.S.Akila For Respondents : Mr.S.Vinodh Government Advocate COMMON JUDGMENT (Judgment of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) The review applicants filed W.P.(MD)No.10253 & 10256 of 2016 challenging the notice issued by the local body treating them as encroachers. The petitioners had put up their superstructure on the land belonging to the local body. According to the petitioners, they could not have been treated as encroachers. The writ petitions were disposed of by the Division Bench as early as on 15.07.2016 in the following terms:- "7.Accordingly, all the writ petitions and writ appeals stand disposed of as we find that equities are also lying in favour of the present shop keepers who have invested their money and constructed the shop rooms.
After the licence period expires, all the shop rooms shall be put to public auction wherein the petitioners / appellants along with other individuals are also entitled to participate. The Writ Petitioners / Appellants and other Writ Petitioners can not claim any exclusive proprietary rights, over the shop room concerned. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous are closed." Seeking review of the same, these review applications have been filed.
2. The review applications were filed way back in 2017. We are now in 2026. The learned Government Advocate informs the Court that the petitioners have already paid the license fee as fixed by this Court. It is seen that the license period has also expired. The matter has become infructuous. The Review Applications are disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. (G.R.S., J.)
