JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was delivered by N.Seshasayee, J.) This appeal is directed as to whether a candidate belonged to Backward Class (BC), when converted to Islam, is entitled to retain her BC status.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the appellants submitted that during the pendency of this appeal, an appointment order indeed has been issued to the first respondent recognising her BC status even after converted to Islam.
3. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the appellants, nothing survives for consideration as regards the cause of action in this appeal. Accordingly, this Writ Appeal is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
