(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard both sides.

2. The appellant's land was acquired for implementing a TNPL project. He sought employment for one of the family members. Since the said request was negatived, he filed W.P.(MD)No.5977 of 2021. The learned single Judge vide order dated 31.07.2024 dismissed the writ petition. Aggrieved by the same, this writ appeal came to be filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the appellant reiterated all the contentions set out in the memorandum of grounds of appeal.

4. We are not swayed by the said submission. As per the norms governing the acquisition proceedings, if 41 cents of land had been acquired, then the management of TNPL had agreed to provide job for one of the family members. In this case, the extent of the land acquired from the appellant was only 15 cents of land. The appellant has not 2/4

drawn our attention to any enforceable statutory provision which entitles him to demand a job in the respondent company. The learned single Judge rightly held that the petitioner has not established any legal right. In that view of the matter, the writ petition suffered dismissal. We endorse the reasons assigned by the learned single Judge. No case has been made out for interfering with the said order. The writ appeal is dismissed. No costs.
