Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent Chief Educational Officer herein to approve forthwith the appointment of P.Maria Ruban as Office Assistant w.e.f.02.08.2021 in the petitioner's School namely, St. Michael's Girls Higher Secondary School, Tenkasi and disburse the grantin-aid towards his salary with all attendant benefits from the said date. 1/4

O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by the management of aided minority institution, seeking a mandamus to direct the third respondent to approve the appointment of one P.Maria Ruban as Office Assistant.

2. A perusal of the records reveal that the one P.Maria Ruban has been appointed as Office Assistant in the petitioner's school with effect from 02.08.2021. The management has forwarded the said proposals to the third respondent on 20.09.2021. So far orders have not been passed by the third respondent, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard both sides and perused the records.

Though, the proposal is pending with the fourth respondent from September 2021 onwards, the fourth respondent is directed to forward the said proposal to the third respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the third respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

5. With the above said observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
