ORDER

The petitioner, a Sub-Registrar of the Co-operative Societies (Public Distribution Scheme), has filed this writ petition, challenging the charge memo dated 24.04.2024 issued by the 5th respondent as against him.

2. The Hon'ble Supreme Court has deprecated the practice of entertaining the writ petition as against the charge memo. In Union of India vs. Kunishetty Satyanarayana reported in (2006) SCC 28, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that writ jurisdiction is discretionary jurisdiction and hence, such discretion under Article 226 should not ordinarily be exercised by quashing a show-cause notice or charge sheet. 2/4

3. The order impugned in this writ petition is only a charge memo. Further, the petitioner has not made out a case that the impugned charge memo has been issued without any jurisdiction, mala fide and in a vague manner. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 22.01.2026 ogy Index : Yes / No.
