ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a direction to direct the second respondent herein to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner for his life and limb in the light of his representation dated 04.12.2024, within a stipulated period as may be fixed by this Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was cheated by one Karthick @ Muthupandi and Andikalai to the tune of Rs.27,14,300/-. The petitioner is a senior citizen with health ailments. Taking advantage of the petitioner's health ailments the said persons have cheated the petitioner and they have also threatened the petitioner. The petitioner had lodged complaint and CSR No.459 of 2024 assigned, no action has been taken, hence the present petition has been filed.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint of the petitioner CSR No.459 of 2024 assigned and both of them went for enquiry on one day and thereafter both of them undertook to produce relevant documents in support of their contention but failed to appear, hence the complaint was closed on 17.10.2024. 2/5

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been knocking the doors of the second respondent on several occasions but no action has been taken but on the contrary it has been represented as though the petitioner had not participated in the enquiry. Further he had made the entire transactions through bank and he has not sufficient materials to prove his contention.
5. In view of the same, the closure of CSR No. 459 of 2024 is set aside. The second respondent is directed to hand over the entire papers relating to CSR No. 459 of 2024 to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Thilagar Thidal Range, Madurai forthwith who shall conduct enquiry calling upon the petitioner, Karthick @ Muthupandi and Andikalai and thereafter dispose of the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of .
