O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation, seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to pay the surrender leave salary for 150 days along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.

According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner was joined in the respondent Transport Corporation on 09.12.1987, and he had attained superannuation on 31.01.2023. So far surrender leave salary was not disbursed to the petitioner. Hence, he sent a representation on 08.11.2024, seeking to pay the surrender leave salary along with interest. Since, there is no response from the respondent authorities, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the above said facts, the respondent Transport Corporation is directed to pay the eligible surrender leave salary along with interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
