ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a mandamus for payment of interest for the belated disbursement of terminal benefits.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner, the Petitioner has retired from service on 31.12.2018 and the terminal benefits were released only on 20.09.2019. Therefore, the Petitioner has sent a representation on 26.07.2024, seeking payment of interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits. Since the same has not been considered to date, the Petitioner is constrained to move the present Writ Petition.

3. Considering the above said facts, the Respondents are directed to pay 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
4. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
