This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to renew the license issued under Form VIII for Gun Deposit, Sale and Cartridges bearing license No.3/VIII/2020, license for GUN REPAIR issued under Form IX-A bearing Number 1/1X-A/2020 and the license for Ammonium Nitrate bearing No.A/TN/DGL/P-3/8(A2500) & A/TN/DG/P-3/8/2483) by considering the renewal applications dated 22.04.2024, 09.12.2024 and 30.03.2024.
2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
4. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the renewal applications dated 22.04.2024, 09.12.2024 and 30.03.2024 submitted by the petitioner for renewal of his licence after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
