2. The petitioner's husband has been missing for more than 7 years. He was working as a lorry driver. The second respondent has already registered Crime No.296 of 2017.

3. It is for the petitioner to pursue her remedy with the second respondent. No relief can be granted in this writ petition. We however direct the first respondent to monitor the investigation. The respondents are directed to take earnest steps to trace the missing individual.

4. With this direction, this Habeas Corpus petition stands disposed of.
