ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who are accused Nos.1 and 2, in S.C.No.166 of 2024 on the file of the learned I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Thoothukudi District, for the offence punishable under Sections 279, 304(A) IPC, have approached this Court, seeking bail.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that this is the 4th bail petition. Earlier, this Court, while dismissing the 3rd bail petition filed by the petitioners, by order dated 09.09.2024, directed the trial Court to complete the trial within a period of six months. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, time granted by this Court to complete the trial is upto 10.03.2025. He further submits that some of the witnesses have been examined and some of the important witnesses are yet to be examined. Therefore, he requests this Court to dismiss this petition.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he is not pressing this petition at this stage and a liberty may be granted to move a fresh petition in the second week of March 2025.

4. Considering the rival submissions made and also considering the earlier order passed by this Court dated 09.09.2024, this Criminal Original Petition is closed 2/3

with liberty to the petitioners to renew this petition in the second week of March 2025.
