ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.) The present contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondents for willful disobedience of the order of this Court in W.P(MD)No.19810 of 2024 dated 02.09.2024.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has produced a copy of the Status Report of the Tahsildar, Nilakottai. He would submit that pursuant to the same, a survey was conducted in S.No.847/41 at Mannavarathi Silukkuvarpatti Village, Nillakottai Taluk, Dindigul District, which is classified as Sarkar Pormaboke to an extent of 0.03.00 acres and the A Register at the remarks column has been marked as Santhana Karuppasamy kovil, vacant land and further it was found that five persons have encroached the property in S.No. 847/41 as follows:- 2/6

3. Pursuant to the same, notice under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act was issued on 25.10.2024 to all the above encroachers and their explanations were obtained. During enquiry, it was found that encroachers were occupying the property based on Anubantham Patta and thereby, the respondents are taking steps to issue regular patta to those who are having Anubantham Patta 3/6

4. He would further submit that the order of this Court dated 02.09.2024 has been duly complied with.

5. He would also submit that the temple is also encroacher. Recording the same, contempt petition stands closed.
