PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay incentive amount a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Fifteen Thousand Rupees) to the petitioners who were engaged in sanitary work during the period of Covid-19 Pandemic as per the G.O.Ms.No.256, dated 28.05.2021 in accordance with law. ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed by Sanitary workers working at Virudhunagar District seeking a mandamus as against the respondent herein for disbursing the incentive amount of Rs.15,000/- for their engagement as sanitary worker during Covid-19 pandemic.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioners, all the writ petitioners were employed as sanitary workers during Covid-19 pandemic period. As per G.O.Ms.No.256, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 28.05.2021, they are entitled to receive the incentive amount of Rs.15,000/-. Even though all of them have submitted separate representations to the authority, so far, the request of the petitioners has not been considered by the authorities. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Considering the above said facts, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioners in the light of G.O.Ms.No.256 dated 28.05.2021 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this orders.
4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
