O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for the issuance of a direction to the first to fourth respondents to give necessary police protection for his life and limb and his men on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.12.2024.

2. The petitioner had earlier filed a Writ Petition in W.P.(MD) No. 14933 of 2024, and this Court, by an order dated 05.07.2024, had directed the TANGEDCO authorities to provide a service connection to the petitioner's land in Survey No.317/15. While the TANGEDCO authorities attempted to implement the order of this Court by providing a service connection to the petitioner's land, the sixth respondent, along with the seventh to ninth respondents, came to the site, created a scene, and obstructed the implementation of the order. TANGEDCO authorities had to retreat and sent a letter to the fourth respondent seeking protection while implementing the order of this Court. The petitioner had also sent a representation dated 02.12.2024, but no action has been taken on it.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first to fourth respondents, on instructions, submitted that the third respondent, along with the fourth respondent, will provide police protection to the TANGEDCO authorities on the date fixed by them for the implementation of the order of this Court dated 05.07.2024, passed in W.P.(MD) No. 14933 of 2024.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
