PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to immediately commence and conduct the petitioner's appeal filed against the order of the second respondent made in proceedings No.7089/Po.1/2022 dated 01.04.2024, which is pending before the first respondent since 24.04.2024 and complete the appeal proceedings.

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Grade.II Warder, seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent for expeditious disposal of his appeal proceedings, which is pending before the first respondent since 24.04.2024.

2. The petitioner herein has suffered an order of dismissal from service issued by the second respondent by way of proceedings dated 01.04.2024. Challenging the said order, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 24.04.2024. Since, the said appeal has not been disposed, the present writ petitioner has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner and pass order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
