ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to complete the investigation of Crime No.160/23 and file final report.

2.According to the petitioner, he is the defacto complainant in this case. The brother of the petitioner was missing, thereby, he lodged a complaint before the third respondent and they also registered a case in Cr.No.160 of 2023 as Man Missing. Thereafter, the respondent police has not taken any steps to investigate the matter and so far, they have not filed final report in this case. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that after receipt of the complaint given by the petitioner, they have registered a case in Cr.No.160 of 2023 as Man Missing. They have also conducted investigation and unable to find out the brother of the petitioner and there are no clues to identify the brother of the petitioner. In this regard, already the petitioner has filed HCP petition before this Court and the respondent police are taking effective steps to identify the 2/5

brother and they will complete the investigation within a period of three months and file a final report before the concerned Court. 4.Since the case is pending from the year 2023 and the respondent police is also taking steps to find out the brother of the petitioner, there are no clues to proceed the case further, recording the above said submission, this Court hereby direct the third respondent to complete the investigation in Cr.No.160 of 2023 and file a final report before the concerned Court, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.With the above directions and observations, this petition stands disposed of.
