ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a direction to the II Additional District and Sessions Court (PCR) Tirunelveli, Tirunelveli District to expedite the trial pending in Crl. M.P.No.780/2024 within the time stipulated fixed by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the 1st respondent. Perused the materials available on record.

3.The petitioner as a complainant, lodged a complaint to the first respondent police, in which, a case in Cr.No.232 of 2024 was registered on 26.07.2024. Thereafter, it was closed as 'mistake of fact' on 23.10.2024. Notice is yet to be served to the petitioner in this case. However, prior to the filing of said FIR, the petitioner has given a private complaint in Cr.MP.No.780 of 2024 for different transaction. The Court below has sent notice to the private respondent. Thereafter, the matter was 3/5

periodically adjourned and the petition is pending without any progress. Hence, seeking for a speedy disposal, this petition has been filed. 4.In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the trial Court to proceed with the private complaint in Cr.MP.No.780 of 2024 and pass appropriate orders in the without any delay, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
