ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to issue patta in respect of the land in S.No.452/8 (2.15 cents) situated at Keela Ambur Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tenkasi District on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 18.11.2024. 2.By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is residing in the suit scheduled property for the past 17 years. Hence, this Court may issue a direction to the Tahsildhar to verify the records and other connected documents and after examining the witnesses, who reside in nearby places along with other revenue documents and to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders within a stipulated time.

4.The learned Government Advocate would submit that the petitioner's representation, dated 18.11.2024 would be considered and orders will be passed by the respondents in accordance with law. 5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the fourth respondent/Tahsildar to hold an enquiry with regard to the entitlement/assignment/grant of patta in favour of the petitioner including the rival claimants/private individuals/Government acquisition, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 18.11.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
