PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to provide the petitioner an electricity service connection applied in Application No. 200060361124953, dated 11.11.2024 and in respect of property in S.F.No. 387 located at Kodumudi Main Road, Punjaipugalar North, Pugalur Taluk, Karur District by considering the representation, dated 22.11.2024 within time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to provide the petitioner an electricity service connection by considering the representation, dated 22.11.2024 within a frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2.By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.Though the Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to give a positive direction to the respondents, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate order within a time stipulated by this Court.

4.Having regard to the limited scope of prayer, that is now sought before this Court by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 22.11.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner as well as the interested parties within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
