2.The petitioner's husband suffered conviction and life sentence for an offence under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Sri Lanka. Availing international treaty between India and Sri Lanka, the petitioner's husband was transferred to Cental Prison, 2/5
Puzhal. The petitioner is a permanent resident of Ramanathapuram. The petitioner therefore seeks transfer from Central Prison, Puzhal Unit I to Central Prison, Madurai. The prayer prime facie is reasonable. 3.We direct the Director General of Prisons, Chennai to pass an appropriate order on the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
