The instant Writ Petition has been filed by a Record Clerk working in the second respondent Office seeking a Mandamus for disbursement of subsistence allowance.
2. A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner was placed under suspension on 29.01.2024, pursuant to his involvement in a criminal case. It is the grievance of the writ petitioner that, so far subsistence allowance has not been paid to him. The petitioner has given a representation to the respondents on 11.11.2024, seeking subsistence allowance. Since the same has not been answered, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to disburse the eligible subsistence allowance to the writ petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
