ORDER

The petitioners, who operate a tailoring and beautician institute, had been enrolling students. The third respondent is one such student who failed to pay the fees properly, showed no interest, and did not complete the course. However, the third respondent lodged a false complaint, alleging that the petitioners had not completed the course, and is now demanding the payment of the remaining course fee.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the third respondent had lodged a complaint, resulting in the assignment of C.S.R.No.1513 of 2024. The petitioner had collected Rs.25,000 from the third respondent as course fees, but it was stated that the petitioners are not running any tailoring or beautician course, and had cheated the third respondent and hence, the third respondent lodged a complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners would appear before the respondent Police on 27.12.2024 to provide an explanation and substantiate that the third respondent is the one who completed the course, and therefore, cannot make any claims. 2/4

4. Recording the above said submission, the petitioners are directed to appear before the respondent Police on 27.12.2024. The respondent Police is to ensure the presence of the third respondent and conclude the enquiry within one month.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
