This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for the issuance of a direction to the first and second respondents not to harass the petitioner, under the guise of enquiry based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2024.

2. The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the second respondent, who, at the instance of the private respondents, has been harassing the petitioner at odd hours for inquiries relating to a civil dispute.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents submitted that two current papers have been received on the complaint of the petitioner as well as the counterpetitioner's complaint, and that the enquiry has now been closed. He further submitted that the second respondent police are well aware that the ADGP has issued a circular directing the police not to interfere themselves in civil disputes and that they will not interfere in such Page No. 2 of 4

matters. He further submitted that, as on date, there is no complaint pending against the petitioner in Sellur Police Station, and the petitioner is no longer required in the matter.

4. Recording the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
