Prayer:

Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to take necessary action on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2024 with regard to cancel the Settlement Deed No.4184 of 2012, dated 05.09.2012 under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to take necessary action on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2024 with regard to cancel the Settlement Deed No.4184 of 2012, dated 05.09.2012 under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the second respondent is directed to take cognizance on the complaint lodged by the petitioner under Section 23 of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and dispose of same after issuance of notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the counter party in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
