ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent to issue a house site patta in S.No.88/1, Melakallankulam Village, Kariapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District in view of representation, dated 12.10.2024, within the stipulated time. 2.By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Civil side), on instructions from the Tasildhar, submitted that the representation made by the writ petitioner has been forwarded to the Tasildhar through the District Collector for clarification as 'Grama Natham' and the same is still pending. He further submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered within a reasonable time.

4.Considering the above submission, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to hold an enquiry with regard to the entitlement/assignment/grant of patta in favour of the petitioner including the rival claimants/private individuals/Government acquisition, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 12.10.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
