the petitioner's name 'Mohamed Sheikabdulla' in the Birth Certificate dated 14.11.2024 and issue a revised Birth Certificate showing the petitioner's name in the name column in the birth extract, which was recommended by the 3rd and 4th respondents, based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.02.2024.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to enter the petitioner's name 'Mohamed Sheikabdulla' in the Birth Certificate which was registered without the name of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. The petitioner was born on 15.11.1986 at Ravi Clinic, Usilampatti to his parents, namely Ayufkhan and Bulkisbanu. His birth 2/4

was duly registered on 24.11.1986. However, his name was not mentioned, since at the time of registration of birth certificate, he was not named by his parents. After registration of the birth certificate, he was named and as such he submitted a representation to include his name in the birth certificate and issue a fresh certificate.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the second respondent is directed to register the petitioner's name in the birth certificate dated 24.11.1986 and issue a fresh birth certificate within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
