O R D E R

The instant Writ Petition has been filed by a B.T.Assistant Teacher appointed by the third respondent school, seeking a mandamus directing the first and second respondents to approve the appointment by way of promotion with effect from 20.08.2024 and disburse all consequential benefits to her.

It can be seen from the records that the petitioner, who was working as a Secondary Grade Teacher in Punitha Arulappar Higher Secondary School, Avudayanoor, has been promoted by the management as a B.T. Assistant (Social Science) and appointed in the third respondent school, with effect from 20.08.2024. A proposal was forwarded to the authorities on 27.11.2024. It is submitted that the said proposal is pending with the second respondent, who is the forwarding authority to the first respondent.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the Additional Government Pleader for the first and second respondents. Page No. 2 of 4

Considering the above-said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the proposal submitted by the management, and if the petitioner is found eligible and if the proposal has not already been returned, the same shall be forwarded to the first respondent within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Considering the fact that the third respondent school is a minority school, the first and second respondents are directed to consider the proposal without insisting on the TET qualification.
