The instant writ petition has been filed by a Salesman working in the fair price shop, challenging the order of punishment imposed upon him on 22.06.2010.

2. A perusal of the impugned order reveals that the petitioner has been imposed with a punishment of postponement of three increments with cumulative effect. Even though, the said order was passed in the year 2010, the present writ petition has been filed in the year 2024, challenging the same.

3. A perusal of the affidavit does not disclose any reason whatsoever, for the huge delay of fourteen years. Moreover, the order impugned in this writ petition has also worked itself out and the punishment period has also expired.

4. In such circumstances, there are no merits in this writ petition, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
